I was re-reading The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, by Deepak Chopra, last night and had an extremely powerful insight regarding this.
Just yesterday, I stumbled across a video on Youtube regarding "Black Cat Energy" which is basically in other words, the Law of Detachment (being "uninterested", unbothered, and detached to a man).
So what was the insight?
"The search for security is an illusion. In action wisdom traditions, the solution to this whole dilemma lies in the wisdom of insecurity, or the wisdom of uncertainty. This means that the search for security and certainty is actually an attachment to the known. And what's the known? The known is our past. The known is nothing other than the prison of past conditioning. There's no evolution in that - absolutely none at all. And where there is no evolution, there is stagnation, entropy, disorder, and decay".
This year I found myself yearning for a"base", for a sense of security, certainty.. and I guess I've always searched for that within a man - hence why I tend to move in with them relatively fast.
But realistically (I unpacked this last nigh), this yearn for security IS NOT MINE. It's my mother's! She's constantly telling me I need a base, it's time for me to settle.. and where she's at in life, is filled with uncertainty and insecurity (because of her scarcity mindset with money!)
When I realised this last night, the lights went on💡. And, synchronistically, hours before I had prayed to God to show me the way, the next step (the intention was regarding social media, but I guess this was a lesson I needed to learn first). So I was able to detach from that, give HER back her fears, uncertainties, and reclaim my power.
Do you know how freeing that felt?
So the message in all this, are your beliefs truly YOURS? Are your fears, insecurities, attachments actually YOURS, or part of conditioning? If they aren't yours, release them.
If they are, see which of the human needs is underlying, and take action towards resolving that. Always happy to help in 1-1s. With love,
C
